Originally by: Kalamurii Izanthor Ok this setup mainly depends on the type of rats you are killing, i have been using my brutix for a long time killing 0.0 rat Angels until i got my Meagthron and i have been using the following fit.
High: 6X 200mm rails and tractor beam
Medium: Stasis webifier and 3X Capacitor rechargers
Low: Medium Armor repairer and 4 hardeners (1 thermal, 1 kinetik, 2 explosive)
Training Battlecruiser to lvl 3 would help aswell.
With variation of ammo you can reach 25 km rellatively effectively, i used thorium ammo for the longer range rats and antimatter for the short range low level bs.
Although all my mods were best named and T2 armor repairer.
You would vary the hardeners depending on the kind of rats you are killing
Sansha do EM and Therm damage
Serpentis do Therm and Kin damage
Angels do all of the damage types however do explosive the most (Hence the 2 explosive hardeners)
And i forgot what the last one was, some caldari variant of the Serpentis i think, but never encountered those.
And please for the love of everything that is politically correct in this universe, reprocess the basic stuff, they dont do anybody any good, I like to call it "Scrap Metal with attitude"
PS, i didnt read the whole of this post so if im repeating a setup someone already mentioned blame them :)
Also your gallante, So NEVER put a shield booster on any of your gallante ships, unless its a hauler and you want to increase your lifespan by a few more seconds lol
And a tip on how to increase your isk reserves when you need it, You can trade Garbage, i know hauling is no fun but in an iteron mk 3 you usually end up making a mil or two of profit if you buy about 90k of garbage and sell it somewhere else in the region for 7-10 isk more per unit (if not more).
I decided to try out this and it seems to work pretty well, except for the fact that I have plenty of juice left to repair my armor, but I lack the speed to do so during combat. I don`t know if this would be a good idea (to repair during combat), but it might be an interesting option.
You should always repair during combat - that's what the armor rep is there for. The fact that you have lots of 'juice' left is a good thing - repair your armour when you need to, not at the end (though make sure you rep your armour up inbetween fights too).
